A beautifully crafted modern take on a Kawasaki Classic.
The first Kawasaki W1 was produced in 1966, on which several models were based throught the 60s and 70s. In 1999 Kawasaki revived the W badge with the all-new W650, and with only a few years of production it has quickly become a collectable and sought-after bike. Now, Kawasaki has once again brought the W model back into production with the spectacular 800.
The brand new W800 could easily be mistaken for a classic bike that has been painstakingly restored. Instead, it is a reliable modern bike with electric start, fuel injection, disc brakes and no leaking oil to clean up!
With an 18" rear and 19" front wheel combination, you get that classic bike feel the moment you start riding the new W800. The throb of the air-cooled Vertical Twin engine is still there, although it runs smoother now thanks to the balancer shaft. The bevel-driven cam adds to the classic appearance and of the cylinder head and is a nice point of difference to other retro styled bikes.
Metal - not plastic, has been used extensively on this bike to give it that solid quality look and feel. Attention to detail has clearly been the focus on this Kawasaki and it really needs to be seen up close to be appreciated.
